The stats stop under load #250

Help needed in trying to understand why the stats stop once we hit a higher load?
Looking at the StartWebSocketServer, a Loop is created, and a addPeriodicTimer timer added to call the StatiscisLogger. All seems logical and correct, and runs as we expect as well... till we are under a higher load, then stats are really erratic, like it just doens't have time to run the addPeriodicTimer at all. Is this an issue anyone else has had? Any solutions/Ideas?
We are running on quite a bare VM CentOS server, just php 7.2 on it, and ulimits set etc. Anyone got an PHP ini pointers? Server pointers config pointers etc?
