A look into the foundation models

Aurora Foundation Model: Aurora is a large-scale foundation model of the atmosphere, trained on over a million hours of diverse weather and climate data. It produces operational forecasts for various atmospheric prediction problems, including those with limited training data, heterogeneous variables, and extreme events. Aurora can generate 5-day global air pollution predictions and 10-day high-resolution weather forecasts in under a minute, outperforming state-of-the-art classical simulation tools and specialized deep learning models 1 .

DeepSpeed4Science: This initiative by Microsoft aims to build unique capabilities through AI system technology innovations to help domain experts unlock significant scientific mysteries. It supports various scientific models, including those for climate science, energy systems, and material discovery. DeepSpeed4Science provides new training and inference technologies tailored for accelerating scientific discoveries, which could be beneficial for hydrogen renewables processes 2 .

Scientific Foundation Model (SFM): SFM aims to create a unified large-scale foundation model to empower natural scientific discovery by supporting diverse inputs and multiple scientific domains, including energy systems. This model can handle various computational tasks and is designed to support scientific discoveries across different fields 2 .

ClimaX: ClimaX is the first foundation model designed to perform a wide variety of weather and climate modeling tasks. It can absorb many different datasets with different variables and resolutions, potentially improving weather forecasting. This model could be useful for predicting weather conditions that affect renewable energy production 2 .

These models leverage advanced AI techniques and vast datasets to provide accurate predictions and insights, which can be crucial for optimizing hydrogen renewables processes.

There is a need for a global industrial map application similar to covid-map that. Application that shows in real time every carbon emissive device operating. App that shows a dashboard and its wall carbon emission reductions / and improvements on a map showing local situation.
Virtual Reality platform dws can solve this need; There will be consumer competitions available, Environmental prizes, Wall of fame cities, companies, products, people, what not. Because your device operating causing emissions are the problem; it will be addressed; soon. What is measured and followed are sooner fixed.
