Deep care runs sfc /scannow, which also does everything Verify system files (sfc /verifyonly) does; likewise Repair Windows image (DISM /RestoreHealth) includes the Deep scan (DISM /ScanHealth). After such a repair the matching check no longer says Recommended; it says it is not needed because the repair already included it.

• Portable: settings and run history now live in a data folder next to WinCare.exe, so all of WinCare is one folder. Delete the folder and it is gone. Run history is kept per computer, so a copy carried to another PC gives advice about that PC. Settings and history from earlier versions (%APPDATA%\WinCare) are copied over once on first start; the old folder can be deleted afterwards.
• Opened from inside the ZIP? WinCare now says so and explains how to extract it (in Turkish or English), instead of a "files not found" error.

WinCare 1.5.0

New: Performance page

Memory check. Shows what is really going on: memory available right now, what programs have reserved (and the limit), the cache, driver memory, RAM speed and the programs using the most memory. If programs crash or the PC restarts on its own, a shortcut opens Windows Memory Diagnostic.

There is deliberately no "free up RAM" button. Windows fills spare memory with a cache of recently used files and gives it back the moment a program needs it; emptying that cache only makes Windows read the same files from disk again.

Before you play. A read-only check that takes a few seconds and looks for what could get in the way of a game right now:

• programs keeping the processor busy, with hints such as Windows Update is installing or Windows Security is scanning
• memory pressure, a pending restart, running on battery, nearly full drives
• Game Mode, background recording and ping, for information

WinCare does not stop services or apply "game booster" tweaks. A busy program can be closed on request, after a confirmation: WinCare sends the same request as the program's X button, so it can still ask you to save. Nothing is killed, and Windows, the shell and app hosts cannot be closed from WinCare.

Other changes

• Memory pressure now appears in the Overview attention list
• The About text, README and privacy note now say that the connection checks ping your router and Cloudflare (1.1.1.1)
