Partial check --verify-data

Some repositories become huge, and some storages limit the free download bandwith per month.

It would be useful being able to check only a percentage of the repository in a preditible way. In a monthly checking:

• 1/12 (firts part of twelve)
• 2/12 (second part of twelve)
• ...
  I would end the year having full repository data checked.

Sorting data blobs by name would be easy. I know adding new data may affect this, so some data may be checked twice and some not at all; but I think it is a better solution than a random 10% of data.

Interesting, I didn't find it when looking for info (I only found the "cli" documentation).

But Standalone vykar check always runs a full 100% check regardless of these settings. I use vykar with crontab tasks, and a config file inside each of my docker services. In my case it would'nt work.

You should look into using the 'full backup run' feature instead. Basically when running just vykar it will do backup, check, prune and compact all in one. Same as when running the daemon. This combines all steps into one and there is no need for separate crontabs. Except maybe one.

I have al my homelab services in a folder, each one with its vykar.yaml config file. I have made a script that searches for vykar files, and in each folder runs "vykar backup && vykar prune"; then, after all 10 backups, it runs a compact (just once).

I made a try to create just one config file with all sources, but I followed https://vykar.borgbase.com/configuration?highlight=env_file#loading-env-files to dump databases; can env_files be defined by source? (I tried and it didn't work)
