Other agents? (besides Claude)

Hi Brian,

I watched your presentation on YouTube, very cool looking project. 😄

You always mention about these projects that you recommend Claude but other agents could work?

Looking at the file structure, you did adopt the AGENTS.md convention, so that should work - but all the important prompts are in the .claude folder, which isn't mentioned in AGENTS.md, so how would another agent find it?

Also, the design skill prompt is clearly important, and I just heard from the Opencode team that they will be supporting this, but I don't know that any other agent besides Claude currently does?

I like choosing and testing different models (on openrouter) and I guess there are workarounds to make that work work Claude Code, but you do still need Claude Code, I think?

I know some people think I'm trying to be difficult (haha) and "just use Claude", but I just really prefer the honesty of the "pay as you go" model over subscriptions that lose these companies money. You could say that's not my problem, but that's just not how I think.

I'm still at the stage where I'm just exploring agents and models for hobby projects, so. 🙂

Anyways, I might take out a subscription just for a month to try out your workflow, if that's your strongest recommendation?

Do you know of anyone else successfully using your workflows with another agent?

Well, I tried using this with Kilo Code, and I gave up.

It's easy enough to rename the folder to .kilocode/workflows and invoke the commands that way - but all of the prompts use AskUserQuestion which appears to be Claude-specific. In Kilo, it's ask_followup_question and of course it uses a different syntax because none of these tools standardize anything to the point where things are truly portable.

And every prompt was hard coded for Tailwind. I wish this was a skill you could replace with CSS or styled components, etc. - I know that Tailwind works well with AI, but I don't want to own anything this far removed from the platform.

It does look like a nice project for what it is, but it's definitely not for me...
