Device Code Flow Alternative

Would there be an alternative way to do initial login other than Device Code Flow (DFC) for EntraID. DFC is blocked in many orgs and does have some security risks with it.

We plan to support login with the Microsoft password + Microsoft Authenticator app.

But for now Device Auth is the only supported authentication method.

Thank you, do you have a roadmap or a general idea when the Authenticator or password would be coming?

It was planned for 26.04 but it might be delayed by a few months.

Yes, we currently backport all changes to all supported Ubuntu releases and will try to continue doing so as long as the effort remains manageable.
