SDR++

Use .deb file from github relase page. Install directly from .deb file:

sudo apt install path/to/the/sdrpp_debian_amd64.deb

For use with RTL-SDR dongle, also need to install the rtl-sdr package:

sudo apt install rtl-sdr

Hack for running on SDR++ with wayland:

MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=4.5 sdrpp

Should be able to find RTL-SDR as a Source option in SDR++ left hand nav menu.
