Position and face

I would love to make autonomous planes and cars but i need to figure out an easy way to track where it is and where its facing and etc so that the plane has feedback and can land and fly without a problem but a problem is that the gps is a pain in the ass and i have to force load it somehow and i was wondering if there is an easier way maybe a mod that grants the pc the current xyt face pitch and etc
