I am always trying to learn at least 1 thing a day about frigate. I started 8 months ago and it took me almost 2 months to get coral working by just reading. It camped together pretty fast after I dumped windows and learned how to install Linux and Debian. After that it took me another 2 months to finally get a video on the screen. I am retired and 70 years old and can tell you for sure they did not teach us in school. I was an electrical engineer that traveled the world for over 22 years. I really love playing, reading and see how everyone gets there set up working. I now have 5 cameras up and running and using frigate + which is really helpful. So my first lesson learned no windows period. 2 lesson (still working on) don't be afraid to ask questions. As this is my first post I have ever posted on any frigate platform I would like to learn from all of you my name is Ricky C and if I can ever help you electrically or otherwise please ask. My final number 3 mistake is the big one that's why I left it for last. For 8 months I played around with SV3C cameras lesson learned wasted 4 months trying to get them to even work a little. So my 6 out of 9 Empire Tech cameras arrive today. I might need some help with some settings and this time I shall ask and get some ideas on how some of you deal with rain and snow at night using PTZ cameras. Well that's my story it's took some time but that is my introduction into the frigate world. |
