Is it possible to run changeset version without bumping version?

Seems a question without answer.

Our process is a bit different, we first bump the version depending then put code to the branch. is there a way which we can consume all the changesets but skip doing the bumping version step?

something command like changeset generate or something in config.json, basically version without changing package.json
