The
todostool is too credulous. The LLM can do whatever it wants to the list—even replace it with an entirely different list without completing any of the tasks. I find myself watching it to make sure that it doesn't mark five tasks done at once without actually doing them. Or I return after some time and have to bring its sins to remembrance and tell it to backtrack.What if the LLM could invoke a tool to protect the to-do list (and other planning tools that might be added in the future)? Once the plan is protected, removing todos and changing the status in suspicious ways would require approval.
