It looks like the /ide command in Copilot CLI mainly detects IDEs that have full integration support, such as VS Code. JetBrains-based IDEs like Android Studio may not always be automatically detected unless the CLI specifically supports them. A few things you could try:
If JetBrains IDE detection is not yet implemented in Copilot CLI, adding official support for Android Studio would definitely help many developers who rely on JetBrains tools. |

I'm trying to use the /ide slash command to connect Copilot CLI to my IDE workspace, but the command fails to detect my running Android Studio instance.
Environment:
Expected behavior: The /ide command should discover the running Android Studio instance and establish an ACP workspace connection, similar to how it works with VS Code.
Actual behavior: The IDE is not detected. Android Studio is running with the latest GitHub Copilot plugin installed, but /ide cannot find it.
Request: Please add official ACP support for JetBrains-based IDEs, especially Android Studio. Many Android developers rely on Android Studio as their primary IDE, and the lack of CLI ↔ IDE integration
is
a significant gap compared to the VS Code experience.
