What's the difference between this and matomo-org/docker?

I would like to know the difference between this and matomo-org/docker?

Both images run upstream Matomo. This one is not a fork of Matomo itself, it is a more opinionated container packaging.

The main differences are:

• This image uses Alpine, Nginx, PHP-FPM, and s6-overlay in one container, exposed on port 8000.
• The official image provides Apache and PHP-FPM variants, and follows the Docker Official Image layout around /var/www/html.
• This image persists only Matomo mutable data under /data, such as config, plugins, GeoIP databases, tmp data, and user files. That makes recreating the container for image upgrades cleaner because the Matomo core stays in the image.
• The official image persists /var/www/html, so it is more generic, but the application tree itself can live in the volume.
• This image includes extra operational defaults: non-root runtime with PUID/PGID, Nginx gzip/Brotli config, OPCache, Redis support, MaxMind/GeoIP setup, a console helper, healthcheck, and optional sidecar cron archiving.
• The official image is the default recommendation if you want the upstream Docker Official Image behavior. This image is mostly for users who want the bundled Nginx/PHP-FPM/s6 setup and the /data persistence model.

So, same Matomo application, different container philosophy. Official is more canonical and generic. This image is more batteries-included and tailored for my deployment patterns.
