Should SoléBot be a standalone code, an Arduino library or both?

Crunchy (Maintainer) here, asking what people, who might be blowing by, think would suit more people more often?

Both would be more work, but I'm not against it...

I suspect standalone code is more useful to those who just want to make but...

I also suspect that, while less internally transparent to beginners, an Arduino library version might be more accessible and adaptable.

Hello,I just came across your repo !
I'm also trying to make a MIDI percussion system ( and too many other instrument :D )
I'm going to use an Arduino system with solenoids and servomotors as the "drums" instruments, i'll use usb to send the midi messages
and i'm trying to make it easy to use anything else (like a normal midi cable, wifi or blutooth)
i'm trying to use a simple settings file where you can set everything you could use in your drums project

i've also made a repo to put all my work about my midi drum project if you want to take a look ( it's all french use a translator !)
to put it simply, i use a pca9685 to send pwm signal to a mofset with a diode witch power the solenoid ( with a thermal protection ) and i'm still workking on the mecanicals sides for each actuator
i would love to talk more about ours project if you want
