How to debug Rust code with breakpoints when starting the cubejs-server (Node.js) through IntelliJ IDEA?

Hey @quicklyfast ,

Do you see a segmentation fault or panic? Because it depends on what can be used.
I recommend starting by compiling the native module with debug symbols:

git clone -b specific_tag git@github.com:cube-js/cube.git
cd packages/cubejs-backend-native
yarn native:build-debug-python

Then you can copy-paste the index.node file from packages/cubejs-backend-native into node_modules of your project.

If it's segfault, you can attach gdb/lldb to the pid with -p or you can start a new process with lldb -- node node_modules/.bin/cubejs-server, the same with gdb but with gdb --args node ....

Then you can continue, and bt full

If it's panic, then define RUST_BACKTRACE=1 and run the server; this should be enough to determine the right place of panic.
