Download the ISO image from the latest release.
Figure out how you will load the image onto your server. There's 3 main options.
- Physical disc
- USB drive
- Out-of-band remote management using the ISO (e.g. a virtual machine, or a server iLO/DRAC/RSA interface etc.)
Boot your server, you will most likely need to press a hot key (typically ESC, F2, F12 etc. watch the boot screen) to activate the boot options menu.
Choose your chosen image type from the boot menu, something like CDROM, USB Key, USB Drive etc.
Next you'll be prompted with the option to install a DCRUM AMD.
WARNING: Continuing will erase all partitions on the server and install Red Hat Linux causing data loss, ensure you're on the correct server.
The installation is entirely scripted and should not require any input, it'll take a few minutes depending on the speed of the server, and your chosen image source. Local DVD and USB drive are pretty fast, remote ISO is dependent on network speed.
Once the install is complete, the server will be rebooted, and will restart leaving you at a login prompt.
Once logged on, the supplied AMD installer can be found in the /tmp/ folder. You may choose to install another version by copying the installer file to the server manually (USB drive, SFTP/SSH).
