Description

Would love to be able to change the order of live TV links like you can for the home page and navigation
Also would be great if when watching live Tv and the stream has an issue wholphin just freezes, be great if the app detected the stream error and tried to reconnect to the stream after a certain time frame....Id suggest 15 seconds

Both of these suggestions can be solved by routing your LiveTV service through Dispatcharr and adding the output playlist to Jellyfin.

You can also configure Channel name, Channel logo, EPG and Fallback streams to other channels / services if Dispatcharr detects a stream error.

No even through dispatcharr when there's a stream fallback wholphin will freeze....no jellyfin client handles the iptv stream fallbacks so wholphin detecting the freeze and doing a reconnect to the channel like jellyfin client does would be great.

Also 99% of people using jellyfin are just adding m3u tuner links and are not running dispatcharr servers so allowing the average client to reorder their live tv channels to how they like would be a nice feature.

That's strange - Wholphin & Moonfin both handle fallback streams fine for my local and remote users. Might be worth double checking if the stream profile you're using on Dispatcharr is the Proxy profile?

You can also play around with the proxy settings to make fallback more aggressive (there are also scripts on the Dispatcharr github & Discord to reduce the reconnect tries from 3 to 1 (currently no way to change it on default Dispatcharr config) and FFMPEG profiles that repair the streams on the fly (https://github.com/FiveBoroughs/ffmpeg-asr)

I do agree though that the majority of people are not running dispatcharr so re-ordering would be nice to have.

I played with dispatcharr for ages and I did use proxy mode but could never get jellyfin clients to stop freezing when a fallback happened....would you mind posting your proxy settings....Id love to get it working right

Agree on the stream error retry request. I've been suffering connection problems for a few days so this has been driving me crazy in Wholphin.

What currently happens for me is that the screen goes black then we drop back to the main menu with an error message. It would be really good if it could behave like the official Jellyfin app - where it waits a few seconds then retries with a spinner (so we know something is happening).
