DIO/ODI Reference Model v0.6.0
This release archives the accumulated DIO/ODI Reference Model repository state since v0.5.0, not only the newly added Agentic ER mapping. It includes intervening updates to existing RAG, HEM, and Commit-Boundary × Policy-as-Code mappings; metadata registries; vocabulary serializations and reference metadata; web frontends, indexes, and machine-readable discovery files.

- 120 local architecture concepts.
- 206 qualified relation assertions, each with source-section provenance, an interpretation note, and an epistemic status.
- Markdown, JSON-LD, and Turtle/RDF representations.
- HTML frontend and SVG architecture overview.
- Explicit action classes: READ, STAGE_LOCAL, REVERSIBLE_WRITE, and IRREVERSIBLE_WRITE.
- Action-specific version binding, staging isolation, atomic version comparison, and provisional shadow staging.

Architecture mapping: https://vocab.danielberanek.cz/mappings/agentic-er-architecture/
The mapping is a non-normative, derived analytical layer. It reuses canonical DIO/ODI identifiers while keeping paper-specific constructs in a separate namespace. It does not modify Reference Vocabulary v0.2.0 and does not claim implementation, formal proof, or empirical validation.
Version scope
- Reference Model: v0.6.0
- Agentic ER Architecture Mapping: v0.3.0
- Canonical Reference Vocabulary: v0.2.0 (unchanged)
- Previous archived Reference Model release: v0.5.0 — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23643845
Zenodo will assign a version-specific DOI when the GitHub release is archived. The live repository metadata will be synchronized with the minted DOI after the archive is created.
DIO/ODI Reference Model v0.5.0
This release advances the DIO/ODI Reference Model's canonical Reference Vocabulary from v0.1.0 to v0.2.0 while preserving historical concept identifiers and provenance.
Included changes
- Identity-Preserving Constraints: Introduces the new canonical plural concept at
https://vocab.danielberanek.cz/dio-odi/#IdentityPreservingConstraints, with a distinct definition and URI. - Historical vocabulary preservation: Retains
IdentityPreservingConstraintunder its existing URI and definition, adding askos:historyNoteto document its historical status. Earlier references are not retroactively migrated, and no semantic relationship between the singular and plural concepts is asserted. - Vocabulary synchronization: Updates the Turtle/SKOS and standalone JSON-LD serializations, the vocabulary page's embedded JSON-LD, the human-readable terminology, and the concept-to-source map.
- Application mapping metadata: Synchronizes release references and archival status across the RAG × DIO and Commit-Boundary × Policy-as-Code mappings and their machine-readable representations.
- Release and discovery metadata: Updates the release preparation metadata, citation information, README,
llms.txt, and sitemap-related modification dates.
The existing RAG × DIO, HEM × DIO, and Commit-Boundary × Policy-as-Code application mappings remain derived analytical layers, separate from the canonical vocabulary. Their inclusion does not establish empirical validation or introduce unsubstantiated semantic relations.
The historical Reference Model v0.4.0 archive remains unchanged and continues to represent Reference Vocabulary v0.1.0. This v0.5.0 release incorporates the current vocabulary v0.2.0 while preserving the historical record.
The Reference Model remains intentionally SKOS-first. This release does not claim to provide a completed formal OWL ontology.
Release title: DIO/ODI Reference Model v0.4.0
This release extends the DIO/ODI Reference Model's derived application layer while preserving the canonical Reference Vocabulary at v0.1.0.
Included changes
- RAG × DIO mapping: Adds an analytical extension on iterative and hypothesis-conditioned evidence acquisition, covering hypothesis-conditioned query selection, path-dependent evidence acquisition, evidence-lineage dependence, and cross-agent hypothesis propagation.
- Commit-Boundary × Policy-as-Code mapping: Adds an application mapping of commit-boundary authorization obligations to policy-as-code controls, using OPA/Rego and Cedar as reference points.
- Source and metadata alignment: Records Constraining the Commit Boundary: A DIO/ODI-Informed Authorization Guardrail for Agentic Entity Resolution (Zenodo record 23580733) as a referenced work and synchronizes the associated metadata and keyword registry.
The application mappings remain derived, non-normative analytical layers. The RAG extension does not introduce new canonical DIO/ODI concepts or Reconstruction Failure Modes, and it is not presented as empirically validated.
The canonical DIO/ODI Reference Vocabulary remains unchanged at v0.1.0. This release is a versioned research software snapshot, not a claim of a completed formal ontology.
DIO/ODI Reference Model v0.3.2
DIO/ODI Reference Model v0.3.2
Metadata and interoperability patch for the DIO/ODI Reference Model.
Highlights
- Adds a canonical corpus-level metadata registry for DIO/ODI works, relations, references, and distribution representations.
- Introduces the canonical ordered keyword grammar (C0–C6) for stable lexical and structural identity across DIO/ODI records.
- Expands Zenodo metadata with a structured semantic Description, canonical References, typed Related Works, version metadata, and 59 ordered keywords.
- Normalizes verified distribution relations, including identical ResearchGate and Figshare representations.
- Preserves explicit provenance and the distinction between version DOIs, concept DOIs, canonical works, and distribution copies.
- Retains derived RAG and HEM Application Mappings as non-normative layers separate from the canonical vocabulary.
Archival continuity and metadata correction
DIO treats historical continuity as part of digital identity. Earlier states are therefore not silently rewritten to create an artificially clean history: they remain archived and identifiable, while discovered metadata errors are corrected transparently in the current canonical representations.
Following publication of v0.3.2, several DIO/ODI research works that had been incorrectly represented as journal articles were normalized to their actual publication state as preprints, together with corresponding resource types in Related Works. The archived release snapshot remains unchanged; the correction is documented in the live canonical metadata.
This follows an identity-preserving principle of DIO itself: continuity is maintained through explicit transformation and provenance, not by erasing earlier states.
The canonical DIO/ODI Reference Vocabulary remains unchanged at v0.1.0.
This release primarily strengthens the reconstructability, interoperability, and machine-readable identity of the DIO/ODI corpus and applies DIO principles to the representation of DIO itself.
DIO/ODI Reference Model v0.3.1

Added
- Turtle RDF representation for Application Mapping: HEM Heterogeneity Taxonomy × DIO Reconstruction Consequences;
- Turtle RDF representation for Application Mapping: DIO Reconstruction Failure Modes × RAG Pipeline;
- explicit qualified
MappingAssertionresources for analytical relations; skos:definitionandskos:scopeNotefor every mapping assertion;- explicit non-deterministic relation types including

The canonical Reference Vocabulary remains unchanged. Version 0.3.1 is a representation and interoperability update to the Reference Model and its Application Mappings.
DIO/ODI Reference Model v0.3.0
DIO/ODI Reference Model v0.3.0 introduces a dedicated Application Mappings layer for applying canonical DIO/ODI concepts to external technical and analytical frameworks without modifying the Reference Vocabulary.
Added
- public Application Mappings index at
/mappings/; - human-readable frontend for Application Mapping: DIO Reconstruction Failure Modes × RAG Pipeline;
- Application Mapping: HEM Heterogeneity Taxonomy × DIO Reconstruction Consequences;
- explicit analytical distinction between HEM heterogeneity conditions and DIO reconstruction consequences;
- machine-readable JSON-LD metadata for the HEM × DIO mapping;

10.1016/j.datak.2026.102575; - expanded sitemap,
llms.txt, repository metadata, and navigation for the Application Mappings layer.
Architecture
The Reference Model now explicitly distinguishes:
- DIO/ODI Reference Vocabulary — canonical concepts, definitions, relations, and provenance;
- Application Mappings — derived analytical projections of those concepts into external domains.
Application Mappings do not modify the canonical vocabulary and do not imply taxonomic equivalence with the external frameworks being mapped.
Versioning
- DIO/ODI Reference Model: v0.3.0
- DIO/ODI Reference Vocabulary: v0.1.0
The canonical Reference Vocabulary remains unchanged at v0.1.0.
DIO/ODI Reference Model v0.2.0
DIO/ODI Reference Model v0.2.0 extends the initial machine-readable reference layer with human-readable concept maps, improved namespace documentation and discovery metadata, and the first explicitly derived application mapping.
Added
- static and Mermaid concept maps for the Reconstruction Failure Mode taxonomy;
- expanded canonical namespace document with embedded machine-readable metadata;
robots.txt,sitemap.xml,llms.txt, and improved discovery metadata;- Application Mapping: DIO Reconstruction Failure Modes × RAG Pipeline, explicitly separated from the canonical vocabulary as a derived application layer;
- public documentation and provenance links across the reference model.
Versioning
- DIO/ODI Reference Model: v0.2.0
- DIO/ODI Reference Vocabulary: v0.1.0
The canonical vocabulary itself remains at v0.1.0; this release expands the surrounding reference model and its derived application layer.
DIO/ODI Reference Model v0.1.0
First public release of the DIO/ODI machine-readable reference model.
SKOS/RDF vocabulary with stable concept URIs, provenance, Turtle and JSON-LD serializations, and a public namespace at https://vocab.danielberanek.cz/dio-odi/.
