DIO/ODI Reference Model v0.3.2
DIO/ODI Reference Model v0.3.2
Metadata and interoperability patch for the DIO/ODI Reference Model.
Highlights
- Adds a canonical corpus-level metadata registry for DIO/ODI works, relations, references, and distribution representations.
- Introduces the canonical ordered keyword grammar (C0–C6) for stable lexical and structural identity across DIO/ODI records.
- Expands Zenodo metadata with a structured semantic Description, canonical References, typed Related Works, version metadata, and 59 ordered keywords.
- Normalizes verified distribution relations, including identical ResearchGate and Figshare representations.
- Preserves explicit provenance and the distinction between version DOIs, concept DOIs, canonical works, and distribution copies.
- Retains derived RAG and HEM Application Mappings as non-normative layers separate from the canonical vocabulary.
Archival continuity and metadata correction
DIO treats historical continuity as part of digital identity. Earlier states are therefore not silently rewritten to create an artificially clean history: they remain archived and identifiable, while discovered metadata errors are corrected transparently in the current canonical representations.
Following publication of v0.3.2, several DIO/ODI research works that had been incorrectly represented as journal articles were normalized to their actual publication state as preprints, together with corresponding resource types in Related Works. The archived release snapshot remains unchanged; the correction is documented in the live canonical metadata.
This follows an identity-preserving principle of DIO itself: continuity is maintained through explicit transformation and provenance, not by erasing earlier states.
The canonical DIO/ODI Reference Vocabulary remains unchanged at v0.1.0.
This release primarily strengthens the reconstructability, interoperability, and machine-readable identity of the DIO/ODI corpus and applies DIO principles to the representation of DIO itself.
