Proguard returned with error code 1

When i use android-support-design to my project in eclipse and i export app it give me above error and The command line is too long error

This was an issue reported by email by another developer Shell Uzo back in January:

The problem is that when exporting the signed application package in Eclipse, ProGuard returns the following two rows of errors (and nothing more):
Proguard returned with error code 1. See console
The command line is too long.

The problem I think is due to this limitation in the command line processor limited at 8191 characters (https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/830473/command-prompt-cmd-exe-command-line-string-limitation) and guessing due to how ADT tools call Proguard externally.

From his notes and if you look at the command line in the console you may confirm it as well, the Proguard command line is longer than that. You will need to enable verbose logging Windows > Preferences > Android > Build > Verbose.

His solution was to shorten the command line and move / rename his workspace from C:\Android\workspace to C:\A\w and the Android SDK from F:\Android to F:\A, shortening the command line to around 6800 characters down from over 8200 characters.

Alternatively you could rename all Android Support library projects (F2) in your workspace to remove the android- prefix and replacing the new name in all project.properties files so that links between dependencies will not crop up as errors. File Search (CTRL+H) > android-support in project.properties > Replace > support etc. And then trying Proguard processing again.
