Hi,
I have an EM7455, and wish to buy an EM7565 to use the third band my provider deployed recently, I've found one branded to be the Lenovo version at a lower price than a generic version. I wish to use it on a MicroTik board with Openwrt/ROOter. Is it possible/safe to convert it to a GenericEM7565 version (1199:90c3 to 1199:9090 if I'm right) and then flash the generic Firmware, like it's possible with the EM7455? If it's not possible to change it's identity, will it work with Generic Firmware and on a non Lenovo computer? Or should I definitely buy the Generic version directly?
Thanks for your advises
