Product Website
🇪🇸 Español
The product website is published with GitHub Pages at https://danieljsaldana.github.io/goliat-cloud-inventory/. It is a static, bilingual page (English and Spanish) that shares the dashboard's colours, fonts and visual patterns.
The demo runs entirely in the browser with fictional data. It never connects to Azure, Microsoft Graph or PostgreSQL, and every change is lost on reload.
| Tab | What you can try |
|---|---|
| Inventory | 214 fictional resources in five subscriptions, with categories, subscription filter, search, tags, pagination and details. |
| FinOps | A deterministic three-month cost simulation. It is not billing data. |
| Users | Six fictional accounts, role filters and confirmation of administrator role changes. |
| Admin | Function, PostgreSQL and Storage metrics, schedule, monitored tags and scenarios such as unavailable services or a pending import. |
The demo uses the same inventory seed as npm run db:seed and reuses the product's categories, translations, pagination and validation rules.
The architecture section embeds both Archify diagrams, the application flow and the Azure deployment, with a selector to switch between them.
npm run build:site # prepares generated assets in site/assets
npm run test:site # builds and runs the website browser testsbuild:site copies the diagrams, the social image and shared product helpers, and generates the fictional demo data. It needs no credentials and no network access. Generated assets are ignored by Git.
The reusable pages.yml workflow prepares the site and deploys it to the github-pages environment only after successful CI on main. It checks that the revision is still current. Pull requests never publish.
The lightweight publication is requested even after documentation-only changes so a newer commit cannot leave an earlier site change unpublished. Heavy test suites remain change-aware.
To enable it in a fork:
- Go to Settings → Pages and set Source to GitHub Actions.
- Push to
main, or manually run Goliat - CI onmain. Manual publication also requires successful checks; Pages has no separate manual bypass.
The page includes Open Graph and Twitter metadata in the initial HTML, with a 1730 × 909 cover image, so links show a preview card without JavaScript.
