[BUG] Actor mock testing does not currently call _on_pre/post_actor_method

Title is self explanatory. Just making this quick barebones issue because it was noted that PRs should have attached issues, and so I can keep track and remember that this is a thing. I will open a PR immediately after for a quick documentation fix, and later I will try have another look at the code to see if proper mocking of this functionality can be done.

Closing as not fixing for now - too many open questions and difficulties about simulating timer behaviour etc. Test code can always call the pre and post methods manually as desired.
