How change timezone of container

Hi,

I needed a form of backup with containers and I found this tool perfect.

I would just need when renaming the file the variable NOW was with the timezone America/Sao_Paulo.

Can you help me on this point?

All of the backups are named with UTC. It just makes it more straightforward and avoids timezone issues.

Is there any reason not to use the UTC timestamps?

UTC is fine in filenames. But setting the timezone would be helpful when using crontab. UTC is not practical there, especially with timezones using daylight saving time.

To set the timezone and work with crontab in the local time, I've change the entrypoint in my docker-compose.yml to :

entrypoint: sh -c "
    ln -snf /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Paris /etc/localtime && echo Europe/Paris > /etc/timezone;
    apk add --update tzdata;
    /entrypoint"

It seems that simplely installing tzdata meets for most use cases.
