How to make rofi window close when clicking outside the window.

I want rofi window to get close or kill if i click outside the window.
It works when i am in x11 but doesn't work in wayland (wl-root). I tried using these flags echo test | rofi -dmenu -no-click-to-exit -no-config and also echo test | rofi -dmenu -click-to-exit -no-config nothing work. maybe i am doing it wrong can anyone help.

also i have small issue with icons, i can't set icon to have 0px padding. i want the icons to have no padding around it and i set padding manually as i want.

Thanks a lot! You sparked the idea to use mouse clicks to kill rofi, and I did this since I don’t use Hyprland. It’s working as intended.
