Welcome to the RailsConf 2011 Music Jam wiki!

This is our 4th annual jam session, and this year, it is going to be better than ever. We are already on the official schedule on Wednesday night, and sure to have a great time together.

Once again, thanks to sponsor http://www.hybridgroup.com we will have instruments rented (guitars, bass, keyboard, and drums), so don't worry if you cannot bring your ax, just come and join the fun.

• Can't bring my axe, would hate for anything to happen to it. Would be up for playing some leads on Voodoo Child - Hendrix. (agmcleod)

• (PJ <=> aspleenic) Glad to hear there will be drums. I look forward to sharing like we did last year. Here are some song ideas I think would be fun and easy to learn:

  • Baby Please Don't Go (Willie and the Po' Boys)

I'll stop there before I get out of hand. I'm assuming we'll have a horn section again?

• (M4N14C) I'll bring my Fender Stratocaster and Squire Jazz Bass and Marshall vs265 to share. I play in a whiskey rock/jam band in Utica, NY. We mostly play original music, but I can cover:

  • Simple Man (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
  • Don't look back in anger (Oasis)
  • Cripple Creek, The Night they Drove old Dixie Down, The Weight (The Band)
  • Hold on, I'm comin' (Sam and Dave) - only if we have horns!

• (codemariner) I'll be bringing my G&L Legacy. Hopefully there will be an extra amp to plug into?
