Ghost assets

First, being able to click on an asset and it renders is very lovely ux.

But for some reason if you click back and forth, at some point you start seeing ghost assets.

Thanks for the report and the reproducible link! It looks like deck.gl errors at some point, leading to the ghost images (and other weird artifacts, when I tried it):

deck: initialization of BitmapLayer({id: 'cog-tiles-1586-1013-11'}): deck.gl: assertion failed. Error: deck.gl: assertion failed.

Some error handling on the deck.gl layer may fix the problem, I'll take a look.
