Future Development & Support of WAHA

I've been a yearly subscriber for a while now and have built a service that relies heavily on WAHA, so first off, thank you for the work you put into it.

I wanted to raise something that's been on my mind lately. I've noticed updates seem to have slowed down recently, and I've also seen issues taking longer to get resolved, both here on GitHub and over on Discord.

As someone whose service depends on WAHA, this naturally raises concerns for me around long-term maintenance and ongoing support.

I fully understand the payment is structured as a donation rather than a paid SLA, and I'm not expecting guarantees. But because my service is tied to WAHA, I'd really appreciate some clarity on where things stand, is active maintenance still happening, and can I count on continued updates and support going forward? Just want to make sure I'm planning ahead sensibly.

The main reason we handled things this way is that we haven't added many new features lately—and are unlikely to do so this year—so we felt it was fair to make the work you previously supported available to everyone.

We might bring WAHA Plus back next year—we plan to add new built-in apps and also enhance the API and current apps in 2027! 🤞🏻

That said, we will keep working on and supporting the project to keep the community happy! 🫶🏻
