v1.6.0
1.6.0 — 2026-11-05
MaterialCraft and TextureCraft join the catalog, the probe applies the MCP
2026-07-28 tool rules, Storytold gets its own icon, and all thirteen existing
cards are rechecked. No new architecture, and no pin moves in this release.
Neither new app has run anywhere yet, and no Craft binary has been probed under
the new tool rules. Their six archives have no Sigstore bundle until the next
release-workflow run, so until then a real setup --all on Linux or Windows
installs the thirteen signed apps and stops at MaterialCraft without
--trust-upstream-sums.
- Plugin icon: an original Storytold mark (an open book with a bookmark) in
assets/, set in the Claude manifest (icon) and the Codex extension
(composerIcon, logo, brandColor), with a check that each path is a PNG the
plugin ships. - Probe: discovery and stored evidence now apply the MCP 2026-07-28
Toolrules
the SDK leaves to its client:type: "object"at theinputSchemaroot, and an
outputSchemathat is a JSON Schema object. A source audit found all fifteen
apps conform. The synthetic fixture's tools take the full 2026-07-28 shape, and
make test-sdkproves their metadata survives the SDK. - Cards: all thirteen rechecked at their November 5 releases, covering the moves
of pull requests #13 to #16 as well, with the findings in the source ledger.
No launch or smoke tool changed. FigCraft gainedwait_for_changesand PdfCraft
ten tools; EffectCraft confines footage more strictly, GridCraft stores macros
behind an approval, WordCraft adds language packs; PhotoCraft and DesignCraft
bundle their CLI in the macOS app. - Catalog: MaterialCraft 0.1.2 and TextureCraft 0.3.2 join as the fourteenth and
fifteenth native apps, both launched with read/write roots, with app cards,
acceptance scenarios and a material-to-texture handoff guide. Their manifest
rows are seeded from upstream metadata; the next release-workflow run signs
the six archives and runs them for the first time. Until thensetuprefuses
them on Linux and Windows without--trust-upstream-sums, and on macOS it
relies on notarization alone. - Craft Anything is left out of the catalog by decision (see ADR-001), and the
other Craft repositories that ship no MCP CLI or no release are recorded there.

v1.5.9
1.5.9 — 2026-10-31
Automated release by the daily Craft release refresh (run 41194983141): 13
pins moved on 2026-10-31. Each moved app needs its card and smoke tool
rechecked at the new tag.
- Pins moved: CADCraft 0.14.0 → 0.15.1, DeckCraft 0.12.0 → 0.13.1, DesignCraft
0.14.0 → 0.15.2, EffectCraft 0.18.0 → 0.19.0, FigCraft 0.12.1 → 0.13.1,
FilmCraft 0.14.0 → 0.15.0, GridCraft 0.13.0 → 0.14.2, LightCraft 0.15.0 →
0.16.0, PdfCraft 0.15.0 → 0.16.1, PhotoCraft 0.17.0 → 0.18.0, SoundCraft
0.14.0 → 0.15.0, VectorCraft 0.18.0 → 0.19.0, WordCraft 0.12.0 → 0.13.2. - The thirteen Craft app cards were rechecked at the 1.5.8 pins on 2026-10-29,
covering the moves of pull requests #10, #11 and #12, none of which had been
rechecked (source review of blob-less clones, recorded in the ledger): every
catalog launch and smoke tool still works, no tool was removed or renamed,
and every release carries the manifest's assets. Each card gained what its
new tag adds and drops what it made wrong: repeatable root flags
(DesignCraft, SoundCraft, VectorCraft), usage errors for unknown options
(CADCraft, PhotoCraft, SoundCraft), FilmCraft's token-gated control port and
FigCraft's clipboard restore. PhotoCraft's card also corrects an older
claim:command_runrefusesfile.saveACopyandfile.automate.batch, so
save and export go throughdoc_saveanddoc_export. Since PhotoCraft
0.16.0 a non-emptyPHOTOCRAFT_CONTROL_PORTinherited by the server stops
its confined launch; the card says to unset it.
v1.5.8
1.5.8 — 2026-10-29
Automated release by the daily Craft release refresh (run 40945242370): 13
pins moved on 2026-10-29. Each moved app needs its card and smoke tool
rechecked at the new tag.
- Pins moved: CADCraft 0.12.0 → 0.14.0, DeckCraft 0.10.0 → 0.12.0, DesignCraft
0.12.0 → 0.14.0, EffectCraft 0.16.0 → 0.18.0, FigCraft 0.10.0 → 0.12.1,
FilmCraft 0.12.0 → 0.14.0, GridCraft 0.11.1 → 0.13.0, LightCraft 0.13.0 →
0.15.0, PdfCraft 0.13.0 → 0.15.0, PhotoCraft 0.15.1 → 0.17.0, SoundCraft
0.12.1 → 0.14.0, VectorCraft 0.16.0 → 0.18.0, WordCraft 0.10.0 → 0.12.0. - Release workflow: the daily runs of October 26 to 29 (40314102671,
40490635202, 40680082986, 40866816860) stopped in the signing step, so no
pin moved and no release was published although all thirteen apps had new
releases. Newer Linux tarballs (CADCraft 0.14.0, PhotoCraft 0.16.0 and
0.17.0, SoundCraft 0.14.0) also ship the bash completion
share/bash-completion/completions/<app>-cli, so "the one member named
<app>-cli" matched two files.extract_cli, which both
scripts/sign_releases.pyandsetupuse, now takes the CLI only at the
archive root, in its top-level folder or in that folder'sbin/; two
candidates there are still refused, and the refusal names the archive and
each candidate. Under that rule all 39 latest upstream archives and all 39
pinned ones hold exactly one CLI, the pinned ones the same member as
before, so existing signatures and installs are unaffected. - A stopped
refreshjob now names its refusal (the last line the failing
script wrote) as an error annotation and on the run's summary page instead
of only "exit code 1".
v1.5.7
1.5.7 — 2026-10-24
Automated release by the daily Craft release refresh (run 40082757472): 1 pin
moved on 2026-10-24. Each moved app needs its card and smoke tool rechecked at
the new tag.
- Pins moved: PhotoCraft 0.14.0 → 0.15.1.
v1.5.6
1.5.6 — 2026-10-23
Automated release by the daily Craft release refresh (run 39937835313): 13
pins moved on 2026-10-23. Each moved app needs its card and smoke tool
rechecked at the new tag.
- Pins moved: CADCraft 0.10.0 → 0.12.0, DeckCraft 0.9.0 → 0.10.0, DesignCraft
0.11.0 → 0.12.0, EffectCraft 0.14.0 → 0.16.0, FigCraft 0.9.0 → 0.10.0,
FilmCraft 0.10.0 → 0.12.0, GridCraft 0.10.0 → 0.11.1, LightCraft 0.11.0 →
0.13.0, PdfCraft 0.11.0 → 0.13.0, PhotoCraft 0.12.0 → 0.14.0, SoundCraft
0.11.0 → 0.12.1, VectorCraft 0.14.0 → 0.16.0, WordCraft 0.9.0 → 0.10.0. - Release workflow: a run that moves a pin now opens the next patch release in
its pull request instead of leaving the version at the last hand-cut
release.scripts/bump_release.py(new, with tests) bumps
packaging/project.jsonand givesCHANGELOG.mdthat version's section,
headed by the moved pins from the refresh report, which now lists each
changed app's old and new version undermoves; entries an Unreleased
section already held stay below the pins. The plugin is rebuilt with that
version before the checks run, so the manifests match. After the squash
merge themergejob, still running onlygh, tags the merged commit
v<version>and publishes the GitHub release with that section as its body,
read from the merged commit; an existing release of that version is left
alone with a warning. The publish job still runs onlygitandghand
now carries the two files as well;ci.ymlignores bot pull requests that
change only those files along with the pins and the plugin. A release cut
by hand is unchanged; the next pin move publishes 1.5.6. - The eight pins pull request #9 moved were rechecked at their new tags on
2026-10-23 (source review of blob-less clones, recorded in the ledger):
every catalog launch and smoke tool still works, no tool was removed or
renamed, no root flag appeared, and every release carries the manifest's
three assets plusSHA256SUMS.txt. Cards now cover DesignCraft's 512 MiB
bound on placed PDFs and the stricterfile.exportPdf; FigCraft's
component.combineVariantsrefusals and naming,addVarianton a lone
component, the CSS-colour refusal and saves adopting the file name;
LightCraft's destructive annotations, path replacement and refusals, the
bitDepthcheck,photo.reload, the Lightroom import limits,
maxDistance, the stem-sidecar rule, the index refusals, the dab cap,
crop.aspect, Constrain Crop and Lanczos3 downscaling; PdfCraft's OCMD
policy evaluation when sanitizing hidden layers; PhotoCraft's DDS options,
qualityrefusal, index rule, historySource, six new history and mixer
commands, theedit.fillhistory source, the flatten limit, the batch
"same" rule and Indexed-Color GIFs. EffectCraft, GridCraft and SoundCraft
changed only in version and CI; their cards moved only their date.
