Driftfin build-59
Changes:
- Fix: pressing the search key on the on-screen keyboard in Search now closes the keyboard. It used to stay on screen until you pressed Back.
Automated build. Unit tests ran in CI, but this build was not run on a TV by CI. Known limits are listed in the README.
Driftfin build-58
Changes:
- Fix: on newer Jellyfin servers, resuming a show on a pinned video quality could start it over from the beginning. Resume now keeps your place on every quality setting.
Automated build. Unit tests ran in CI, but this build was not run on a TV by CI. Known limits are listed in the README.
Driftfin build-57
Changes:
- New Video quality setting in Settings > Playback: Auto drops the quality when the network struggles instead of buffering, and picks back up where the show was. Fixed choices (1080p, 720p, 480p) cap every playback and apply the next time you play something.
Automated build. Unit tests ran in CI, but this build was not run on a TV by CI. Known limits are listed in the README.
Driftfin Phone phone-build-14
Changes:
- Fix: Continue on a pinned quality (480p, 720p, or 1080p) could restart an episode from the beginning on newer Jellyfin servers instead of picking up where you left off. Resume now keeps your place on every quality setting, same as Auto.
Automated build. Unit tests ran in CI, but this build was not run on a phone by CI.
Driftfin Phone phone-build-13
Changes:
- New Video quality setting: Auto now drops the quality on weak connections instead of buffering forever - on campground wifi a show keeps playing at a lower bitrate and picks up right where it was. You can also pin 1080p, 720p, or 480p yourself.
Automated build. Unit tests ran in CI, but this build was not run on a phone by CI.
Driftfin Phone phone-build-12
Changes:
- Fix: finishing an episode no longer sends a second, late "stopped playing" report after the watched check. That stray report could make the server drop the watched check and bring back a halfway resume point - one more way a finished episode lost its place.
Automated build. Unit tests ran in CI, but this build was not run on a phone by CI.
Driftfin Phone phone-build-11
Changes:
- Foldable cover screen: on the Razr+ outer display the hero and the details header now fit the small screen instead of overflowing it.
- Updates: Settings shows a red dot when a new phone build is available, and you can check for an update right from Settings.
- Fix: resuming a show that plays through the server's transcode no longer loses your place. Your position is now saved against the real point in the episode, so picking it back up starts where you stopped.
Automated build. Unit tests ran in CI, but this build was not run on a phone by CI.
Driftfin build-56
Changes:
- Player: pressing the remote's Home button while a show was playing left the sound running in the background. Leaving the app now pauses the show and saves your place, so coming back picks up right where you stopped. Pages and dialogs inside the app, like the actor page over the player, don't trigger this - only actually leaving the app does.
Automated build. Unit tests ran in CI, but this build was not run on a TV by CI. Known limits are listed in the README.
Driftfin build-55
Changes:
- Settings are now kept per profile: each Jellyfin profile signed in on the TV gets its own copy of the Settings toggles, so one person's choices no longer change another person's. Everything already set carries over exactly as it is; a profile only starts differing when you change something yourself.
- Wallpaper: stacked or squarish title logos (like Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) were tiny next to the description - they now get more room and read clearly. Wide banner-style logos are unchanged, and Home and Details look exactly as they did.
Automated build. Unit tests ran in CI, but this build was not run on a TV by CI. Known limits are listed in the README.
Home screen experiment test v5 (remote focus fix)
Isolated test build for the Google TV home screen experiment. Debug-signed, installs alongside the regular app as "Driftfin TEST"; no library data is used.
v5 fixes the experiment panel: the D-pad could not focus any action in v4. Buttons now take remote focus with a visible highlight, and the panel claims focus when it opens.
Same steps: open Driftfin TEST, choose "Home screen experiment (test build)", select "Add test entries", then press Home and look for test entries on the Google TV home screen.
Automated checks: panel layout snapshot verified. This build was not run on a TV by CI; remote interaction on a real TV is exactly what this test is for.
