Welcome to the MKDD-NX wiki. MKDD-NX is a native Nintendo Switch port of Mario Kart: Double Dash!!; see the README to get started.

Playing

• Options Menu: every option of the − menu.
• LAN Play: the game's LAN mode over Wi-Fi between Switches (standard game only).

Apps

MKDD-NX Tools, one app for Windows and Mac, from the latest release: MKDD-NX-Tools.exe, or MKDD-NX-Tools-arm64.dmg (Apple Silicon) / MKDD-NX-Tools-x86_64.dmg (Intel). It contains no game code or data. Each tool has its own tab:

• HD Textures: convert the MKDD HD texture pack for the Switch.
• Export MKDD Characters: add custom characters from GameBanana and the MKDD wiki.
• Convert WiiMK Characters (beta): turn a Mario Kart Wii driver into a character.
• Battle Routes: edit the routes the CPUs drive in single player battles.

Mods

• MKDD Plus: the Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Plus mod (3.3 NTSC), its cups, courses and arenas.
• Retro Track Grand Prix: Retro Track Grand Prix 2.1, and its Baby Mode and Classic 1.4 versions, installed on the Switch from their patches.
• HD Textures: the MKDD HD texture pack.
• Character packs: custom characters on extra select screen pages.
• Wii characters: Mario Kart Wii drivers, converted.

Building

• Build Instructions: build MKDD-NX.nro from your own disc image.
