Connect environment state in UI/plugin

We want to implement the following behavior:

1. Changing the environment in the recent activity would change it in the insights panel and vice versa
2. The environment should be a part of the navigation back/forward stack

How to demo:

1. The user has multiple environments, and the UI is open on dev
2. He changes environments in the recent activity panel to 'test' now both show 'test'
3. He clicks the back button and goes back to where he was with the dev environment selected
