Meeting minutes 2011 07 19

Attendees: Jarno, Jason, Robert, Reuven, Eric,

Item 1: Milestone 1 release

Put out last Friday. Some minor problems related to the code refactoring - all resolved before uploading.

Item 2: Full milestone release schedule

Placed up on the wiki. 8 milestones, final release in December, one week delay during M5 for Chinese National Holiday.

Item 3: Milestone 2

• Robert - finish the doc items planned for M1.
• Jarno - going thru old bug reports. Quite a few concern order of content in PDF, where order doesn't correspond to bookmap. Would like to fix that, but do it slowly and carefully. People might rely on current order. General feeling though is that we should respect the order.
• Reuven - makes sense. For things like book lists we have been working on this. But, legacy problem of TOC/index/etc putting in specific places. Spec says order should be respected. But don't want to break people. Some sort of staged release of this?
• Jarno - probably need to change all at once - but release notes / changes doc could have info on how to do it, maybe a drop-in replacement to change the order.
• Robert - all good idea. When would this be integrated?
• Jarno - this or the next milestone.
• Jarno - Pending feature request about renaming arguments to follow a scheme. Had some discussion previously. Will follow up before changing anything.

Item 4: Old bug reports - how to treat?

• Robert - should we leave open? Lower severity? Close?
• Jarno - Should not close or lower just because they are old. I closed a few old ones because they are now working. Some maybe could be marked as "Won't fix".
