Item 1: Milestone 7 status

Released on Friday, out on SourceForge. Worth highlighting index change in a note to dita-users.

Item 2: Milestone 8 / 1.5.4 Release plans

Final milestone for this release. No major features; focus on documentation updates and minor fixes.

Jarno: focus on documentation; avoiding feature updates unless see something very minor. After Miletone 7 ended, updated the documentation build process, so now get a "userguide" PDF rather than a mix of PDF files.

Robert: documentation updates.

Reuven: plan to look at bug items.

Jason: focus on the bug tracker and general cleanup before release.

Expected 1.5.4 release date Dec 16.

Item 3: Other topics

Documentation - first topic in the user guide is called "Evaluating the DITA-OT". That should be moved to "getting started". It's basically a description of how to install the full package and run the demo. Need to check if the content is also covered elsewhere.

"Running DITA from Ant" topic in the user guide: the topic on running from Java command line is much shorter and cleaner; would be good to have a matching style.

Robert will try to look at those items; primary focus will be on an overview of the available transforms.

Expecting next meeting to take place December 20, to start work on the next release.
