Mac M1 install postgresql No "postgres" user

My user group does not seem to have postgres but I cannot add postgres.

Can you give all the commands you ran and any relevant files or logs for reproducing the issue

Are you using the Postgres install from https://www.enterprisedb.com/downloads/postgres-postgresql-downloads or the Docker container?

I chose Mac OS X 13.2 to download at https://www.enterprisedb.com/downloads/postgres-postgresql-downloads

In this picture, the password is preset to 00000000

Users and groups do not appear PostgreSQL

Then I gave the command in Terminal， su psql -U postgres --> su: Sorry

Then the system asks me to enter the password.

FATAL: password authentucatuin failed for user "postgres" FATAL: password authentication failed for user"postgres"

What I don't understand is that there is no problem with my old Mac installation, but this problem is only caused by M1.

But I now use brew install postgresql to temporarily solve it.

I don't know if other M1 users have downloaded and installed it at https://www.enterprisedb.com/downloads/postgres-postgresql-downloads, whether the same problem as mine has occurred.

You'd wanna try asking a Postgres-specific resource or Stack Overflow. Since these repos are for the Docker container image and not really a help forum

If you want though you could try running Postgres in a Docker container with https://docs.docker.com/docker-for-mac/install/ and following the brief instructions on https://hub.docker.com/_/postgres/. But I'm going to close since this isn't a container-related issue
