libsosplugin.so is missing in .NET Core 3.0 runtime or sdk

I am trying to analyze a crash dump of a .NET Core 3.0 app in a linux container and noticed that I cannot find the file libsosplugin.so for .NET Core 3.0. Is this expected?

SOS (and the lldb plugin) is no longer shipped part of the runtime; it is shipped out of band. See the SOS installation instructions here.
