HJT: Validate application integrity

To validate the integrity of the HiJackThis+ application, you need to follow 2 steps:

Step 1)

Open File Properties of HiJackThis.exe (through the file context menu) => Digital signatures tab => Select item with sha256 => Details => Check the error message, it must contain the text:

"The digital signature is OK"

or

"A required certificate is not within its validity period when verifying against the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed file"

Both are correct. In the second case, the contents of file has been verified successfully, hovewer it has warning about outdated certificate, because I don't have the money to buy or renew it.

Step 2)

Click View Certificate => Details tab

Check Thumbprint (Отпечаток):

1b78ef517e81a07d1c1c4c6adfa66a2b7c3269c3

Optionally, check the Serial Number, must be:

31f8f5fb790c592476ce0f3320dc4af1

Note: when the application get auto-updated (if you allowed this option in the app settings), the digital signature get verified automatically once new file downloaded. If signature check failed, the HiJackThis+ will not allow to replace the executable file.
