Display of phpinfo() output in production

Hello! I'm trying to deploy my web-app by following the documentation from this repo. In local, everything works fine, without problem but when i try to deploy the app by following the documentation of this repo, some default page is displayed instead of my website, the default page being the output of phpinfo() function.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Can you check if all your files are in the /app folder in the image ?
You can also try rebuilding with --no-cache option (don't forget to specify both compose.yaml and compose.prod.yaml files for prod)

@LinkNexus When you build your image, you do : docker compose -f compose.yaml -f compose.prod.yaml build ?
Cause when I try this, I get an error with your Dockerfile, at the end, for the installation of nvm 🤔

If I comment this, the build works, but then the app is missing the assets so I get a HTTP 500

@tcoch I tried commenting the line responsible for the installation of NVM and NodeJS. I rebuilded the project using docker compose -f compose.yaml -f compose.prod.yaml build --no-cache but i have the same problem, the website displays always the phpinfo output for some reason.

OK, so I understand that this is not how you were building your image up until now.
If you do a simple docker compose build --no-cache, this will not build the production image frankenphp_prod. Try it, you will see it building frankenphp_base and frankenphp_dev only :

Despite that, if you run the command docker compose -f compose.yaml -f compose.prod.yaml up -d will still work. And I tried it : you end up with the result of a phpinfo() ;)

So what you have to do, is debug your nvm install process, which will allow you to build the frankenphp_prod image, which will be used by your application in your prod environment. And then, it should work ! ;)

@LinkNexus, I'll join in with what @tcoch wrote.

When building an image without using the correct configuration files, the image will not match the required environment.

In the case of a prod image, you need the compose.yaml and compose.prod.yaml files (and in that order). In the case of a dev image, you need the compose.yaml and compose.override.yaml files (these are the default files for Docker Compose).

Both dev and prod images have the same image tag (<...>app-php:latest). This can also cause confusion when working with images. It is important to make sure that such <...>app-php:latest is an appropriate image for the current environment.

I tried to build the current version of your project and got a working prod image.
