Signing with expired certificate

How is it possible that an *.msi can be signed with an expired certificate?

If I start the *.msi file then there come no warning or error. My understand is that this should not be possible. Is this a Windows Bug? Or can it be that I have import/add this certificate anywhere in my system. Where can be such setting?

Is the clock of the PC correct?

The PC clock is correct. On other systems occur also a warning that it is not a general windows problem. I have find the intermedia certificate in the trusted publishers of my system. It look like that I have imported it for years as I configure our build scripts.
