Preferences: ellipsis stays after maximizing the window

Steps to reproduce:

• Open Window -> Preferences
• Go to page General -> Quick Search
• Place an invalid value to the field "Max line length" and get error message at the top of the page.
• Resize window, so the message was folded with ellipsis.
• Maximize the windows with "Maximize" button in the header.
• The message still contains ellipsis

The problem is reproducible on Windows and Linux and on any page of the Preferences.

I can reproduce this: Maximize does not eliminate ellipsis while resizing does.
@Tiberivs can you contribute a fix, please?

i can still reproduce, but as soon as i do as full-app-screenshot the ellipse goes away, because its the key combo alt+print. Already only pressing "Alt" removes the ellipse.
