Plan the Week with Minion

The Weekly plan template is a powerful example of using Minion:

minion template week

This opens a file named after the date of the Monday of this week:

I like to make an alias in my .zshrc, of course:

alias week="minion template week"

Now I can call it quickly by typing:

week

Each week, this command will start a new file.

Naturally, each Monday, I want to open both the current and previous weekly plan documents:

minion openall weekly

Once the latest weekly plan has everything I need, I sort and archive all of the previous weekly plans:

minion sort weekly
# use 'a' for archive

During the week, I like to keep track of completed items without opening the weekly plan document.:

minion log weekly Finished unit tests for main project.

The file doesn't open, but a line with date/time has been appended to the end.:
