CORINE Land Cover

The CORINE Land Cover inventory was initiated in 1985 (reference year 1990), updates have been produced in 2000, 2006, 2012, 2018, and 2024. It consists of an inventory of land cover in 44 classes. Time series are complemented by change layers which highlights changes in land cover between two reference years.

The CLC2024 product contains four layers:

• Initial layer (e.g. clc18)
• Reference layer (e.g. clc24)
• Change layer (e.g. cha1824)
• Solar layer (e.g. sol1824)

The current product which can be run through the QC Tool:

• CORINE Land Cover 2018-2024 (clc2024)

Past versions of the product:

• CORINE Land Cover 2012-2018 (clc2018)
• CORINE Land Cover 2006-2012 (clc2012)
