Love seeing new things.... Well done all of you.
Few things i have noticed playing with demo
=> Feels faster ❤️ apart from #6370. Feels now even more pronounced because the rest feels instantaneous.

=> Not sure about this new create menu... ❓

• Is it more convenient ?

We believe it's more convenient, yes. I'll add autofocus in the title field, too, and you can just type a title and press enter and be done with it. And it fixes entity created from templates not having titles, too. See https://www.deltablot.com/posts/release-50400/#new-creation-modal-window.

The template filtering options are also better.

Regarding the lag of tinymce loading, we're thinking we can adress this with a placeholder skeleton, as we can't really do much for how fast this loads AFAIK.

Unless we rewrite it in rust! :p

Not a designer here, but could I suggest some changes ? or ideas of improvement.

=> My thoughts process is going down in the order of steps.
=> Because i hoped the item title would be pre-filled by the template title like that I could enforce some titles
Methanol DO: DD/MM/YY and people would just have to replace DD/MM/YY

=> So for me title is at the end just before create.

Something more like that done with PowerPoint .

After other remarks :

1. Do we need this ?

We could gain some needed space in mobile

=> Cancel is the same => as the the arrow x

2. Replace Select a type by Create new
3. Enter a Title and on the same line the input box to give it the title.
4. Move the Create button next to the cancel Button give them distinctive colors

5. Scope in on one line => Be more descriptive of this function.

6. Category in another column

7. For the table only two columns (Category, title)

8. remove those buttons completely

8. In the table I select a line and the title becomes the title of my item. The create button will create from the selected template

Others :

Why i am not able to use a template as a new template => This is after all a duplicate of a template with a new title ?
What happens if I force the use of a template ?

I also started testing it. Switching between teams doesn't work. When you are in eLabFTW you can't change the team anymore. To change the team you have to log out and chose the desired team, which works as expected.
Using Firefox, Win 11.

Tried it, but still remain logged in on previous/first chosen team:

• cleared cookies and storage
• logged in to first team
• Local Storage / persistent_team_selection updates to the team's proper ID 32
• cookies' token_team is set also to 32
• switch team to second team
• Local Storage / persistent_team_selection updates to the team's proper ID 6
• cookies' token_team remains on 32

And active team remains the first team.

If I delete the old token_team cookie (and only that), then switch team again to 6, the change properly happens.
