So it looks like the automation isn't updating the download hash.

I'm not sure what's wrong. The hash in https://github.com/microsoft/go/releases/v1.24.2-2 is the same as in our Dockerfile, but the hash of the actual download is different. Looks like they're having some issues with this release, so we should probably skip it for now.

https://aka.ms/golang/release/latest/go1.24.2-2.linux-amd64.tar.gz is a 404doesn't exist right now, and unfortunately aka.ms does a redirect to Bing in that case. You're likely hashing some essentially random HTML. Sorry about that. 😅

I happened to open a PR on the Downloads.md doc with more info on how these links behave just now: microsoft/go#1645.

(Another thing we ought to consider is simply also uploading builds to the microsoft/go GitHub releases. I'm not aware of a reason not to do that, we just haven't yet because we didn't have a reason to. (At the moment, I think this is a good reason.))
