Alternative charging steering: Use car API to set schedule when charger does not support smart steering

Hi,

I currently awaiting delivery of my new company car, a Mercedes EQE300.

With this car, we get a home charger installed (Alfen Eve Single Pro Line) that is not configurable, as everything is configured centrally by a back office manager by a third party.

So I have no or limited control over the charger.

But I also found an application called GridIO (https://www.gridio.io/), that actually plans charging times not via the charger, but through the car API?

Is this not a good option for EVCC, to also allow configuration of charging times through the CAR API?
Seems an interesting alternative to steering the charger for people as myself that cannot access it?

Anyhow, I only get my car in ~1 month, so still time to figure things out...

Normally, this is done via OCPP.
Alfen can be controlled by evcc via Modbus.
Parallel use may be possible?

This backoffice control is indeed done through OCPP... Problem is that the installer does not share the charger local user & password, so locking me out of any possible local control.
