MacGamingFix 1.0.0
Initial Release
MacGamingFix is a macOS utility that fixes the ghost cursor problem in CrossOver/Wine games.
Features
- Cursor Fence — Detects and suppresses unwanted system cursor appearances during gameplay using zone-aware heuristics for menu bar, Dock, hot corners, and screen edges.
- Multi-actuator cursor hiding — Uses multiple hiding strategies for games that resist standard
SLDisplayHideCursorcalls. - Game Mode — Optionally enables macOS Game Mode for reduced input latency and better CPU/GPU scheduling (requires Xcode Command Line Tools).
- Automatic game detection — Tracks the frontmost app when the cursor is hidden and restores normal cursor behavior when you switch away.
- Diagnostic logging — Built-in logging with UI toggle and copy-to-clipboard for troubleshooting.
Requirements
- macOS 26 or later
- CrossOver or Wine
