This causes issues for example when the user modifies the state during the incremental updates. Ideally I need a way to get the exclusive write access to the editor state during the update. How could I achieve this?

What's the recommended way of performing long async updates to editor state in Lexical?
Currently, I'm performing the updates incrementally with
async function() {
editor.update(() => { .... });
wait ...
editor.update(() => { .... });
...
}
