Is there a way to keep empty space at the bottom of the editor?

When i reach the bottom of the editor while typing, it's at the complete bottom. is there a way (like how vscode does it) to keep some space (i'm thinking something like 20vh) between the end of the viewport and editor but also feel like it's not outside the editor?

I've tried adding padding but that behaves weird with the scroll bar, it doesn't scroll to the padded area
