But, if makes sense: you can use add.add_api_route() and on the function endpoint, you can receive Request and check the method attribute.

Using GET and POST for the same API function is not good design. It makes sense that this is not supported because the idea is a little absurd. What is your use case?

Regarding retrieving the body directly, try something like below. Docs reference: https://www.starlette.io/requests/#body
