The Better Let's Go v1.0.0, now for both Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! (version 1.0.2 of either, with Atmosphère).

Tested by the owner on one Switch in both games. Not every feature has been checked and nobody has done a full playthrough yet, so back up your saves. See the README's testing status.

Download the zip for your game:

  • The-Better-Lets-Go-v1.0.0-Eevee.zip: build ID 5831EC64D6B696FD69E69505821B97B1

Install: remove any other wild battle mods, unzip to the root of your SD card, then fully close and restart the game. Both zips use /atmosphere/exefs_patches/the_better_lets_go/, and each file is named after its game's build ID, so you can install both on the same SD card. Installing replaces an earlier version.

New in this version:

  • Let's Go, Eevee! support. Every feature, with Eevee as your partner.
  • Caught marker. In a wild battle, a Poké Ball appears left of the wild Pokémon's name box if you've already caught that species, as in the other Pokémon games.
  • The wild Pokémon faints when you win, with its "fainted" message and animation, instead of jumping straight to EXP.
  • "Exp. Share" option. On by default. Off gives EXP only to Pokémon that fought, including when you catch with a ball from the Bag or catch Snorlax or a Legendary after fighting it, and the catch screen then names each Pokémon that got EXP.

Everything else: wild battles with EXP and evolution, catching with a ball from the Bag, no battle timer, the "Enable Wild Battle" and "Level-Up Trade Evolution" options, options in every game language, Sky Dash on D-pad Up, and the intro skip on +, −, A, B, X or Y.

Tested: the options and saving them, catching from the Bag, Level-Up Trade Evolution, the intro skip, the timer, EXP on a win, evolution, early saves, Enable Wild Battle Off, losing, running, trainer battles, long sessions, the faint on a win, and the caught marker in both games. In Eevee: wild battles, the partner Eevee, and male and female partners.

Not tested yet, reports welcome: Sky Dash on D-pad Up, Snorlax and the Legendaries, other game languages (the translations are by AI and unchecked by native speakers), Exp. Share's per-Pokémon messages, the remaining features one by one in Eevee, shiny and Special Encounters, and a full playthrough.

Stay offline and out of GO Park.
